Sandra Kay Jiannino passed away April 18th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 79 years old.

She was born on Dec. 28th, 1944, in Mitchell, S.D., to George Dean Williamson and Betty Faye Hanson. She moved to California when she was 5 years old with her grandmother, Dorothy Hanson. She graduated from Glendora High School in 1962. In 1964, she married Ronald Lee Jiannino and was blessed with four children, Michael, Robert, Nicole, and Anthony. She was a stay-at-home mom until Anthony was old enough to attend school, she went back to college to study accounting and worked for 36 years until her retirement. Ron and Sandra moved to Grass Valley in 1988, where she worked for Superior Propane and Ferrellgas for 18 years.

She loved to listen to all genres of music and enjoyed dancing. Her other passion was an avid doll collector. She loved searching for old unique ones. She was a loving wife and mother. She always attended the kids’ functions, from sports to dance.

She leaves behind her husband, Ronald Jiannino; children, Michael, Robert, Nicole Hale, and Anthony, daughter-in-law, Kathy, Kelly, and Jennifer; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty; and her little brother, Daniel.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
