Diana Lee Lewis

July 3, 1948 – September 18, 2026

Diana recently joined her husband, Dennis, as she entered Heaven’s gates on September 18, 2026, at the age of 78.

Diana was born in Austin, Texas and made Grass Valley, California, her home for the past 61 years. Diana was a graduate of Nevada Union High School and attended Sierra College.

Diana had a larger-than-life personality along with an incredibly beautiful heart. She was happiest caring for others. She had a reputation as a tremendous cook and an even better baker. She enjoyed sharing her decadent pies with friends and family, as well as others throughout the community, especially the crew at Arch’s Automotive!

Diana was a lifetime member of the American Dairy Goat Association, raising and selling pedigree goats. She was also a volunteer in the local 4-H program with her four children raising different animals through the years. Diana was active for many years as a volunteer/leader in Boy Scouts of America.

Later in life, Diana traveled the world. She was an active member of a local travel club and visited many foreign countries. Throughout her life, her greatest love has always been her family and her dear friend JoAnn Davis of Spokane WA, whom she stayed in touch with since she was 17 years old.

Diana was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Betty Caris and her husband, Dennis Lewis.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Caris, her four children, Roy (Patty), Rusty (Tricia), Rhett, Liz (Darin) and four grandchildren, Ahna, Decken, Ilia and Raegan. Diana will be forever in our hearts.
