Throughout her life, Barbara worked in a variety of fields, including electronics manufacturing and medical office work. Her diverse career reflected her adaptability, determination, and willingness to take on new challenges.
Barbara was a strong-willed, resilient woman who approached life with determination and preferred doing things her own way. She valued her independence while maintaining a deep love for her family. She expressed that love through everyday acts of kindness, caring for those around her, and bringing family together.
Above all else, Barbara’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found happiness in caring for the people she loved. She especially enjoyed playing games with family and friends, bringing a playful spirit, friendly competition, and laughter at the table. These simple moments became cherished family memories.
Barbara also had a deep appreciation for nature and animals. She loved gardening, feeding wildlife, and walking her beloved dog, Lola, along the forest trails.
Throughout her life, she welcomed countless animals into her family, providing each with a safe and loving home. Dogs, cats, and horses were treasured companions. Her compassion extended beyond her own animals through volunteering with local animal shelters and nonprofit organizations. During retirement, she became a respected and sought-after pet sitter, earning the trust of families who knew their animals would receive loving care.
Barbara’s survivors include her sister, Kay Galbraith of Nevada, children DeeDee Lowe of Grass Valley; Shari Garger and her husband, Steve, of Vacaville; and Brian Lowe and Lina Restrepo of Grass Valley; and her four grandchildren, Natalie, Ian, Devin, and Brian.
