In Loving Memory of Wanda Robinson
November 21, 1927-July 4, 2026
Wanda (Baetz} Robinson passed on July 4, 2026 at the age of 98.
She was born on November 21, 1927 in a remote area of Eastern Kansas, While still a young child, her parents moved their family to Fort Collins, Colorado. As an adult, Wanda lived in Greeley where she raised her three children. While on vacation to California she met Lowell Robinson and after a year of dating they married in 1969.
Wanda worked hard as an Administrative Assistant to raise her three children James Lee Inman, Terrill Gene lnman, and Wanda Joy Stevens. She enjoyed dancing and being with her three children. On Sundays you could find her ironing while watching the Lawrence Welk Show. She especially loved Christmas, enjoying decorating the tree and buying presents for her children and family. Every Christmas day was spent with her parents, siblings. and their children in Fort Collins, Colorado until her parents passing.
She moved to California with her daughter Joy, until she graduated High School. In addition, shortly after Wanda and Lowell married, Lowell’s two daughters Roseann and Carol joined the family until they graduated high school and married. The family enjoyed their first home together, and on holidays Lowell and the girls would take turns churning homemade ice cream for the holiday treat.
Lowell and Wanda built their dream home in Nevada City. They lived there until Lowell passed in 2015. Four years later Wanda moved to Oregon with her daughter and granddaughter and family.
Wanda enjoyed her friends. They play bridge together and visited over morning coffee or lunch. Lowell and Wanda loved traveling with friends. Their favorite places to go to were Alaska, fishing for Salmon and Flounder and the coast of California in search Abalone for cooking and serving with friends on the beach.
Wanda is survived by her son Jim, daughter Joy, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She has three step children, five step grandchildren, and several great step grandchildren that she enjoyed visiting with especially Tim and Becky Robinson with whom she remained very close until her passing.
Wanda had several family members pass before her including her parents, all four of her siblings, husband, and her son Terrill Gene. Many of her friends have passed on during the 31 years while living in Grass Valley.
Of all the things in her life, Wanda most treasured her independence. It was difficult for her to lose her ability to live independently for the last eight years of her life. She will be remembered for having regained final independence on the 4th of July 2026.
Memorial services will be held at graveside for family at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery/Hooper and Weaver in Nevada City on July 22, 2026 at 10 AM.
