Audrey Louise McIntosh

Audrey was born in San Francisco Oct 12, 1950, and died suddenly in Grass Valley May 31, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Brown of San Francisco. Audrey is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill McIntosh of Grass Valley, CA and by her son Joe McIntosh,wife Ayanna McIntosh, Son Steven McIntosh, Mother Mrs. Edna Spooner Brown and three grandsons Samuel, Matthew and Ethan.
Audrey was raised in San Francisco California and attended San Francisco State and was a member of a sorority there. She married Bill McIntosh April 24, 1976, in San Francisco. Audrey worked for many years for the phone company in the Bay Area. Before Bill retired from the P.G.& E they moved to Grass Valley Ca.
Audrey served on the staff of Sierra Presbyterian Church from 1994 to 2015 as Ministry of Care and membership Director, being responsible for caring for the congregation, training deacons, Stephen ministers, and helping to care for families. She was a long-time member of the Women’s Mentoring Program and prayer teams.
She was a long-time active member of PEO, and often helped out volunteering for the Men’ Cornish music choir and sang in many community choral groups.
There were three things that were very important to Audrey, her faith in Jesus, that guided her life and decisions and gave her energy to go out of her way to help others. Her family which she poured her heart and soul into. Her friends, who she was always there for, bringing a meal, a bouquet of flowers, a listening ear, or a kind word.
A Celebration of life service will be held at Sierra Presbyterian 175 Ridge Rd, Nevada City
Sunday on June 14 at 4pm.
A potluck reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
