Bobbi Dee Seghezzi Sinclair

Bobbi Dee Seghezzi Sinclair passed away peacefully at her home in Grass Valley, California, surrounded by her loving family, on May 12, 2026, after a courageous year-long battle with multiple myeloma. She was 70 years old.

Born on June 10, 1955, in Reno, Nevada, to Beverly and Randy Mickey, Bobbi experienced loss early in life when her biological father, Randy Mickey, passed away on July 7, 1955, when she was only three weeks old. Shortly afterward, she moved with her mother to Grass Valley, where she was lovingly raised by Beverly and Amos Seghezzi. Amos later adopted Bobbi and became the father she knew and loved throughout her life.

Bobbi was deeply rooted in the Grass Valley community and proud of her lifelong connections there. She attended Hennessy Elementary School, was part of the very first graduating class of Lyman Gilmore Middle School, and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1973, where she served as president of her senior class. She treasured her lifelong friendships and faithfully attended monthly gatherings and class reunions with her classmates over the years.

After high school, Bobbi graduated from Heald Business College in 1974 with a business degree. In December 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, Dan Grassick, and together they welcomed three beautiful children. The family settled in Oregon, where they lived until 1986, when Bobbi and the children returned to Grass Valley to be closer to family and lifelong friends.

In the early 1990s, she attended beauty college and enjoyed working alongside her sister doing nails and hair. She spent more than 30 years working for local insurance agencies, including Gold Country Insurance, State Farm offices for Brian Hollister and Mike Bratton, Networked Insurance, and Patra.

On November 18, 1989, Bobbi married the love of her life, Paul Sinclair. Together they shared many happy years camping in their trailer, exploring mountain backroads in their Jeep, riding quads, and making cherished memories at Fuller Lake and Fort Bragg. Though Paul passed away in 2014, their love and adventures remained close to Bobbi’s heart.

Bobbi had a creative spirit and a gift for making people feel loved and welcomed. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed watercolor painting, quilting, knitting, crafts, gardening, baking, and cooking. She attended quilting retreats with dear friends and proudly earned awards at the Nevada County Fair for both her nectarine pie and her watercolor paintings. She especially loved teaching others—showing her grandchildren and nieces how to sew, paint, bake, and even drive a manual stick shift.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. Bobbi was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest supporter, faithfully attending softball games, lacrosse matches, piano, choir, and band recitals, school plays, graduations, FFA events, and countless other milestones. She treasured quality time with those she loved and created a home where everyone felt cared for and accepted.

Bobbi loved Jesus deeply and found strength and purpose through her faith. She participated in Celebrate Recovery at Twin Cities Church during her early sobriety and continued attending church regularly with her parents before her illness. She was also a proud and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, celebrating 11 years and 10 months of sobriety. Her sobriety date, July 12, 2014, was one of her proudest accomplishments. Through AA, Bobbi devoted herself to helping others, often secretarying meetings, serving breakfast at Sunday gatherings, opening her home to those in need, and welcoming people without family nearby to holiday dinners. Her kindness, compassion, and unforgettable hugs touched countless lives.

She was also a member of the Grass Valley Rifle, Rod & Gun Club Women’s Auxiliary and remained active in many local friendships and community activities throughout her life.

Bobbi is survived by her parents, Beverly and Amos Seghezzi of Grass Valley, California; her sister, Catherine (David) Peters of San Anselmo, California; her brother, Michael Seghezzi of Grass Valley, California; her children, Jill (Jeremy) Eslick of Grass Valley, California, Andrea (Joe) Bessman of Bend, Oregon, and Joseph (Lindsay) Grassick of Roseville, California; and her beloved grandchildren, Shawna (Kevin) Penn of Perryton, Texas, Josh Grassick and Molly Grassick of Grass Valley, California, Brendan, Aubrey, and Violet Bessman of Bend, Oregon, and Sevren and Hawthorne Grassick of Roseville, California. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandson in August 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sinclair (2014); her brother, Gregory Seghezzi (2010); and her biological father, Robert Randall “Randy” Mickey (1955).

A Celebration of Life will be held at Twin Cities Church on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a light lunch and gathering to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foothills Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of the Foothills), Cancer Aid Thrift, or the Grass Valley Rifle Rod & Gun Club.

Bobbi will be remembered for her enormous heart, her creativity, her resilience, her faith, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to know her.
