Jerry Tennell, born December 3, 1933, passed away February 7, 2026 at the age of 92. He moved from Oklahoma to Grass Valley in 1947. He graduated from Grass Valley High School in 1952. He served in the United States Army. In 1957, He married JoAnne Whatley. He drove truck for various businesses in Nevada County. He and Joanne were members of Calvary Bible Church where they attended for over 62 years. After retirement he and Jo loved to travel in their RV and spent winters with friends in Arizona.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Joanne, daughters Kathy (Mike) Piper, Terry (Mike) Robinson, Cindy (Jim) Moon, ten grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
