June 2, 1954 – October 9, 2025

Mitzy Jean Klagenberg, born June 2, 1954, at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, California, passed away October 9, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Euel Headly Holloway and Donna Jean Holloway.

Mitzy grew up in Templeton, California, and graduated from Templeton High School in 1973. On November 14, 1987, she married Matthew James Klagenberg, and together they shared many wonderful years filled with laughter, care, and companionship.

Mitzy joined Grass Valley Group in 1991 and worked there ’til 1998. Many of her friends came from those years.

In 2013, Mitzy and her friend Joanne Castles founded Sammie’s Nifty Thrift, a local thrift shop that reflected her generous spirit, creativity, and love for her community. Mitzy had a kind heart and a deep affection for animals, especially her cherished dogs, Doc, Poppy, and Ruby.

Family was central to Mitzy’s life. Her nephew, Nick Vaca, lived with her and Matt from 2005 until 2012, before moving to Maui. He returned home in April 2025, a testament to the closeness and love their family shared.

Mitzy is survived by her loving husband, Matt Klagenberg; her sister, Rebecca Paniagua; her nephew, Nick Vaca; and many friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her warmth, humor, and strength.
