Carol Jo Brown was born March 7, 1946 in Chicago, Il.

Carol passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 at home in Grass Valley surrounded by family at the age of 79.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mariam Pollack and survived by her Son Sam (Miranda); Grandsons Connor and Caleb, Daughter Rhonda; Grandson Chance, Daughter Jeni; Granddaughters Mahlia and Misha, Sister Betty (Bill); Nephews Matthew and Adam.

Carol moved to Grass Valley in 2014 to be closer to family after retiring as an Elementary Teacher in Monterey County for over 20 years. Carol was an artist and shared her abilities with all of those in her life. She was an active member in the Jewish Community in Grass Valley and prior to moving she was very involved in her community of Monterey.

She was an amazing mother, sister and grandmother and her family misses her deeply.
