April 23, 1942 – April 11, 2025

Eric’s spirit left this world due to complications from a fall.

He spent over 29 years working as an entomologist for Nevada County. He met Laurel, the love of his life, while they both worked for the county, and made her his wife. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

Eric was an avid fisherman and car enthusiast. He had a great passion for nature and wildlife, especially birds of prey and Corvids. He handled and worked closely with these birds during his long tenure as a volunteer with Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release, where he was a member of the raptor and education teams.

Eric was a very strong man, who also had a kind, gentle spirit. Eric, we will miss you always, but you will be in our hearts forever. Go in peace, and fly free. We love you.
