Evelyn Patricia (O’Brien) Curtis

Evelyn Patricia (O’Brien) Curtis went to be with her heavenly father January 2, 2022. She was surrounded by her devoted family who loved her dearly.
She was born in Vallejo, California where she grew up with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She always said she had the happiest childhood possible and through her life she stayed close to her siblings. She is predeceased by all her siblings, Ed and Fran O’Brien, Mary Jewett and Audrey Ford. Also her dear daughter and grandson, Susan and Brian Teeters. There is surely a party in heaven today!!
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 42 years, Elmer Curtis and 3 of her children Pattie (Bill) Woolsey, Rob Monaghan and Lisa (Mike) Evans, Glen Teeters and 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer High School in 1943 and retired from a long career with the Vallejo Unified School District in 1990, and did she enjoy her retirement! She and Elmer traveled the USA in their motor home, visiting every state but North Dakota. Back home she enjoyed golfing, aqua fitness, bridge, working in her garden, and clowning around with her husband, a Shriner clown, and most of all she now had more time to dedicate to her family, which brought her much joy! In 1996, she and Elmer moved to Lake of the Pines in Auburn where they continued to accumulate many new friends. Evelyn shared her joy of life with all she knew and her abiding faith in her savior was apparent to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed, but the faith and love that she shared, lives on in us and gives us all strength.
Her life will be celebrated on Sunday, July 10th at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Loomis on 6414 Brace Road in Loomis. Please join us!
