Lance R. Mahle

February 16, 1950- April 10, 2026

Lance Mahle 76, a long-time resident of Grass Valley passed away peacefully at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento from heart failure with his family by his side.

Lance was born at San Diego Naval base in 1950 and later went on to serve in the Navy from 1968-1974. Lance worked for AT&T as a lineman and retired in Grass Valley. He loved working outdoors. He loved collecting knives of all kinds and collected many dragons. He loved the ocean and taking trips in the RV up to Fort Bragg with his wife Carolyn and their dogs. He loved his 3-wheeler bike and going on rides with his son Tony. He loved NASCAR and going the races with his son James. Lance was the best husband, father, Papa, and recently had a great grandson and great granddaughter to love.

Lance is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons James (Trina) and Tony (Jenny), granddaughters Lauren, Alex (Traxell) and Emmie, great grandchildren Eisley and Ryella and his beloved dog Katie. He is proceeded in death by his parents Larry and Lonetta Mahle and his brother Lee Mahle.

A private family gathering will take place along with his favorite music, food and a lot of fun stories in his honor. He will be missed by all.
