Margo Lindh

Margo Ruth Kimball, born March 27, 1959, in Port Hueneme, California, to Mabel and Marvin Kimball, lived a life filled with strength, adventure, and a love that touched everyone around her. It was in Port Hueneme that she met Michael Allgeier, beginning a journey that shaped the early years of her life.
In 1986, Margo and Michael moved to Grass Valley, where they raised their three children — Michael (Tanya), Mitchell, and Molly. Their family later spent time in Washington State pursuing the dream of owning and operating a campground before returning home to Grass Valley. After life took its turns, Margo eventually married Larry Lindh, with whom she shared companionship, stability, and a deep, steady love.
Margo was fearless from the start. As a kid, she raced dirt bikes — and she didn’t just race, she won, taking first place even against older and more experienced riders. That spark never left her. She carried that same fire into adulthood, eventually owning her own Harley, which she rode with pride. With Larry, she spent her retirement years doing what she loved most — camping, riding motorcycles, and enjoying the freedom of the open road.
She fought cancer hard for six years, showing the same grit, humor, and stubborn strength that defined her entire life. On March 29, 2026, she was called home, surrounded by love and held in the hearts of those who knew her best.
Of all the roles she held — wife, mother, sister, friend — the one she cherished most was Granny. Her four grandchildren — Lilly and Mikey, and Heidi and Hailey — were the light of her life. She poured her whole heart into them, and they adored her in return.
Margo worked for many years as a checker at SPD Market in Nevada City, where she became known for her kindness, humor, and the smile that could brighten even the hardest day. She retired with the same warmth and grace she brought to every part of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Michael (Tanya), Mitchell, and Molly; her grandchildren, Lilly, Mikey, Heidi, and Hailey; her sisters, Marlene Pero and Denise Hodges; her beloved dog, Tucker; and many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Marv and Mitchell; her niece, Jane Hodges; her father in law, Frank Allgeier; and a baby she loved but lost at birth.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Cottage in Gateway Park in Penn Valley. Anyone who knew and loved Margo is invited to attend. Guests are welcome to bring a snack and a beer if they choose to.
Margo was a good woman with a generous heart, a bright spirit, and a presence that made people feel seen and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the stories she created, the love she gave, and the lives she touched.
