Scott William Warner

Scott William Warner passed away at 22 years of age on Sunday May 3, 2026 in Penn Valley, California after a struggle with addiction.

Scott was born on August 31, 2003 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley to Brian and Shannon Warner, the youngest of their three children. He attended Ready Springs School and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 2021.

As a kid, Scott loved to watch Star Wars and play PlayStation games with his brother, Tyler. His love of video games continued into his teenage and young adult years on the gaming computer he built with his dad. Often, he could be heard from the living room talking with his friends when he played his favorite games like Destiny 2, Rust, and Call of Duty. Scott also enjoyed playing the card game Magic the Gathering with his friends and his dad.

Scott loved music, and his favorite genre was California hip-hop. While visiting different cities, he enjoyed seeing his favorite artists perform or picking up clothes to add to his streetwear collection. Scott was especially known for his extravagant jeans with loud designs, his large belts with shiny jewels, and rarely being seen without one of his hats.

In recent months, Scott had been making well-appreciated efforts to be more present with his family. He attended his brother’s college graduation and had picked out an outfit for his sister Andrea’s upcoming wedding. Scott had also started to go to drift racing events and watching The Sopranos with his dad, whom he considered his best friend. While watching Up with his mom just a short time ago, he thanked her for never giving up on him.

Scott is survived by his parents Brian and Shannon Warner; his brother Tyler and his sister Andrea; his grandfather Dave Northup; and his grandparents Jerry and Ursula Warner. He is preceded in passing by his grandmother Kathy Northup and great-grandmother Helen Lyons.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life at their family home in Penn Valley.
