Adam Chavez Gutierrez, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on January 24 at the age of 76.

Memorial services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, 459 Hollow Way, Nevada City.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of over 50 years, Linda Gutierrez, his daughter Priscilla Swift (Dylan). His grandchildren Sammy, Vicky, Alex, Becca, Andy, and great-grandchildren Landyn and Dylan. Brother Jerry Gutierrez, Sister Stella Armas, plus many nieces and nephews.

He is proceed in death by his father Adam and mother Lydia Gutierrez, and two sisters Carmen and Connie.

Adam was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed barbecuing, gardening, riding his Indian motorcycle, and camping .

He will be remembered for his fearless spirit and artful nature.
