December 6, 1946 – December 12, 2025

Dave was born in Spokane, Washington to parents Mary and Peter Bacon, the family included brother Robert and sister Marysue Bacon.

Dave grew up in a tight knit loving family that traveled much of the world making their home in Pilot Point and Anchorage Alaska, Paris France, Rome Italy, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Riverside, Ca.

Dave went to college at Riverside City College and University of California Riverside before moving to Grass Valley, Ca. to work building homes with his brother Bob.

Dave was soon on his own designing and building homes for his many customers. He was a very kind humble man with a real gift for and love of woodworking that will be sincerely missed by his family and larger community of all those with homes, additions, furniture and specialty items from his wood shop.

Dave has two daughters Eisha Dawn Augustus and Cynthia Marie Hodge. In Grass Valley Dave met and married Suzie Strozzi and they had a son Ben Bacon married to Miranda and a granddaughter Saylor Bacon. “He looked for the best in others and gave the best he had.”
