Larry Bertram was born in Nevada City, California, on July 16, 1947, to Horsey and Doris Bertram. He passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2025.

Except for his time serving in the U.S. Army; Larry spent his life as a proud resident of Nevada City. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1965 and went on to attend Sierra College. A dedicated and hardworking man, Larry built a 45-year career with PG&E.

Larry retired in 2012 and spent his free time taking his 5th wheel on camping trips, attending UNR football games, trips to Reno, golfing, fishing, traveling, and having meals with dear friends. He cherished attending countless soccer games, baseball games, band concerts, graduations, and award ceremonies for his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda; daughters Julie (Tim) Trokey and Melissa (Nathan) Trahern; older brother Ron Bertram; and younger sister Joni Brantley. He loved being “Grampa” to his 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter: Tyler and Brandon Roth; Dustin, Matthew, and Kyle Trahern; Timothy Trokey and Beth (Trokey) Brown; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
