Obituary for Jane Bielefelt

Jane Ellen Bryan Bielefelt passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2025 at home in Rough and Ready with her family present at the age of 81.

She was born January 8, 1944, in Los Angeles, to George and Berniece Bryan. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda in 1961 and Cal State University, Northridge with a B.A. in Biology in 1970. She married Bruce Alan Bielefelt on July 10, 1966, and they quickly started their family. The young family moved to Carmichael in 1973 and Rough and Ready in 1977. She was a Medical Technologist and worked many years at Catherine Lane Labs and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2005.

She enjoyed her country life and had passions for horses, being a mother to her children, and being a grandma. She had a friendly but independent spirit and devoted her attention and efforts to many interests, including the Peace Corps, pilot training, Master Gardening, scouting, and her church. She was a devout member of Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City. She enjoyed hiking, playing mahjong, and bible study.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce, in 2006. She is survived by her children Glenn and his wife Lan Huynh; Amy and her fiancé, Jaime Lindsay; Michael and his wife Hilary, and five grandchildren: Sydney, Kayla, Miles, Lucy, and Crew.
