Schandra Selene Sherwood

Schandra went to be with the lord peacefully on Sunday September 14th, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

She was born in Grass Valley California on November 12th, 1975 to Stephanie Novack and Tim Sherwood. She went to Hennessy and Lyman Gilmore Schools. She was in De Ridder, Louisiana for her highschool years. She lived in various states during her life such as Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Nevada, making friends wherever she went.

Schandra was Independent and Strong. She loved her Family and Friends Fiercely. You always knew she had your back no matter what.

Schandra was the most Kind and Giving Person, always putting others before herself. She could be struggling, see someone struggling more than her and make sure they were taken care of first.

She loved the 49ers football team and would talk smack with her cousins who like the Raiders, it was all in fun.

Schandra loved music and dancing so much! Her favorite was Paula Abdul. Once she won a contest to meet her and she was so thrilled. One of her very best days ever!

Her sense of humor was hysterical! She would make cassettes of herself singing and basically podcasting before it was a thing, then send them to her family. She also would make videos of her dancing and being silly, just to put a smile on your face. Your happiness was important to her.

Being a Mother was her biggest and best accomplishment. She raised incredible humans and she loved them more than life itself.

Schandra will be missed terribly, there will be a hole in our hearts with her absence that can never be filled.

She was Preceded in death by her Father, Grandparents and Aunt Cathy.

She is survived by her Mother, Stephanie Novack, Her Wife Alice Sherwood, Children Brandi, Nate, Akasha, Martin and Zachary. Sister Gayle Sarrels, Brothers Josh Bryant and Tony Eldrige and their wives, and Sister Angelita Johnson. Grandsons Kolton, Noah, Carson and Sebastian. She had many Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Schandra was a light in this world and a force to be reckoned with, now she is our Guardian Angel.
