Richard Gagnon

Richard left this world into the arms of Jesus, Saturday evening Aug. 23rd.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 1/2yrs Cassandra, his daughters Micheline Gagnon-Tipton husband Steve Tipton, Solange Tomlinson widow, Terra Parker husband Jeff Parker. Twelve grandchildren; Jared, Janaye, Joshua, Dakota, Ethan, Madison, Derek, Tanner, Noah, Tiffany, Austin and Tyler. Great grandchildren; Maci, Trout, Magnolia, Juliet, Ryker and Teddy.

Richard Cleophas Gagnon 2/25/45-08/23/25. Born in Worcester Mass. raised in Barre Vt. Lived in Santa Cruz, Livermore , finally settling in Grass Valley CA. in 1979.

He was the son of Antonio Gagnon and Annette Boisvert Gagnon of Sherbrooke Canada and shared and ancestry by to 1537.

Richard was a gunner E4 in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966. He was a Journeyman Machinist beginning at FMC in San Jose CA., then moving to Aerojet General in Rancho Cordova CA. He was proud to have worked on one of the re-entry motors for Space Challenger and worked on the F-22 Raptor fighter jet until his retirement in 2011.

Richard was a friend to many, he was a “Man of God”. Richard looked forward to the day he would see Jesus face to face. The family shared scripture is Jeremiah 29:11.
