Sheri Jolynn Straub (née Bartsch), 61, of Grass Valley, CA, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Known for her love and kindness, Sheri’s nurturing spirit left an enduring mark on all she held dear.

A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held on September 13, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the LOVE Building in Grass Valley. All who wish to honor her memory are warmly invited to attend.

Sheri was born on August 9, 1963. She spent most of her life in Grass Valley, and attended Sierra College, where she earned her Degree in Early Childhood Education. She dedicated her career to nurturing and supporting children, and for over seven years she ran a family daycare while raising children of her own. She later continued her work with the Grass Valley School District as a special education teacher where her compassion and genuine love for others touched the lives of countless people.

Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment with her devoted husband, children, and grandchildren, whom she delighted in spoiling with love, laughter, and endless affection. Sheri’s love for her family was immeasurable and created memories that will live on forever.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, her three children, seven grandchildren, and her brother who will carry her light forward.

Sheri’s legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will forever inspire all who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
