Susan “Susie” Poss passed away on July 7, 2025 in her home.  She was 78 years old.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church, 12582 Squirrel Creek Road, Grass Valley CA 95945.

Susie was born on April 20, 1947 in San Mateo, CA to Carl and Gloria Maidt.  She attended school in Half Moon Bay and shortly after high school she married the love of her life, Norm Poss.  Together they raised their children in Redwood City, CA, but in 1979, they relocated to Grass Valley, CA.  For most of her life, she was a devoted stay-at-home mother but when the children were older she worked as a dental hygienist.

Susie loved life and being around others.  She and her husband found a passion attending church and sharing their love of Jesus with others.  New Covenant Church was her home away from home and she loved being there.  Her legacy will be remembered for always putting Jesus Christ first.  May her beautiful soul rest in peace.

She will be missed by all of her family and friends.  She was a loving, devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She loved with her whole heart.

She leaves behind three daughters, four son-in-laws, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, step-daughter and husband.
