Bonnie Lorena Jacobs-Loney began her journey home, with God by her side on May 2, 2025.

She was “hangin in like the rest of the world,” prior to her travels. She was surrounded by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and siblings for what she called an answered prayer and family reunion.

She loved Jesus and worship music, as well as all cats feral or not, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, crime stories, and hot weather. She always referred to herself as a desert rat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lorena Scates, her only son, Richard, sister, Betty, nephew, Jerry, niece, Gale, and great niece Bethany.

As she awaits with them, the arrival of those of us to follow, she would remind us all that we are in her heart, her thoughts, and her prayers, every day.

She was deeply loved and will be truly missed. Now let’s boogy.
