August 5, 1967 – April 5, 2025

Stephani passed suddenly from this earth, in her home, and surrounded by her mother and her long term team of caregivers.

She graduated from Nevada Union, Sierra College, and FIDM in San Francisco where she lived and worked until she returned to Nevada County in 1997 due to her MS diagnosis.

Stephani had an immediate impact on the people she met, and was well known around town for her spreading hugs and love wherever she went, especially in her favorite thrift stores; Hospice, Sammie’s and Goodwill. She also gave and received love from the team at Dutch Bros. as she loved her “special” coffee. A note of appreciation to her doctor, Jed Colvin of Bouchier, Pritchett Family Medicine, Dr. Miller and team at Pine Hills DDS, and Foothills Compassionate Care.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Cope, and sister Tifin Dillon. She is preceded in death by her father, Denis Kutch, and her brother Nolan.

A celebration of life has been held with those who loved her the most, her mother and partner Richard France, and her caregiving team and their families. She leaves a big empty space in our lives.
