Joyce married John Wynne in 1978 and they soon moved to Vancouver Washington where she made many lifelong friends while co-managing apartment buildings. Joyce moved to Grass Valley to be close to her son following the death of her husband in 1989.
Joyce was a member of the Grass Valley Church of Christ which she was very active in. She so enjoyed having youth bible study at her home and some of those “kids” were at her bedside during her last days. Joyce stayed active with church, quilting and visiting with friends.
Joyce spent her last six years getting to know her grandson Ryan and family.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings John and Louise.
She is survived by her son John and family. Niece Sharon and husband Duane Henton, step-children Janet, Sheri, Jim and David.
Joyce requested a celebration of life, not a funeral. This will take place 2/10/24 at the Church of Christ, 670 Whiting street, GV at 1pm.
