Winabeth Irene Smith, born April 2nd, 1926 passed away on March 14th, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her granddaughter, Sagan and family by her side.

Winabeth had a great love for books and reading which lead her to working as a librarian for many years at Bell Hill Elementary School. Winabeth also volunteered her time with the Interfaith Ministry and enjoyed playing the bells at the Grass Valley Methodist Church.

Winabeth’s favorite times were spent with her family, making many memories in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Sierra County.

Winabeth was predeceased by her husband, Charles Smith; and son’s David and Dennis Smith.

She is survived by her son Darrel; grandchildren Sagan and Sean Mason, John and Camille Smith, Brian Smith; great-grandchildren, Shelby Sutera, Madison Smith, Ellie Sutera, Leila Smith, and Olivia Smith; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Winabeth will be missed however will live forever in the hearts of those she touched.
