Andy has been General Manager and Vice President of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary since 1992. Andy served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Grass Valley for ten years before coming to work for Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. He is a graduate of Central State University, Edmond, Okalahoma and has his master degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas. When Andy is not overseeing the daily operations of the mortuary, you can find him involved with high school sports. Andy has been the official statistician for the Nevada Union High School Football team since 1980. He also served for eight years as the President of the board of directors for Hospice of the Foothills. Andy is married and has two grown children and four adorable grandchildren.

Debbie is a devoted mother of two active children, Matt and Sarah. She is a fifth generation from the Prisk family to live in Nevada County. Debbie is no stranger in giving care to grieving families. Debbie's father, Leonard Prisk, was a co-owner of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary for over 31 years. As an experienced funeral director, Debbie is just the person to help you through those difficult times. Judy divides her time away from work between golf course and serving as a Board member for the Senior Citizens Foundation. As the pre-need agent at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary, she assists individuals with the pre-arrangement of their services. Pre-arranging provides a great deal of comfort, knowing your wishes will be met as well as the opportunity to take care of the costs. Pre-arranging also helps eliminate the burden family members would face. Judy is available to meet with those who find it difficult to get out, at their home and at her office. Hooper & Weaver Mortuary is proud of the many services they are able to provide to the community.

Janet is a mother of three grown sons and has lived in Grass Valley her entire life. She is funeral counselor with us here, who has the compassion and know how to serve you in your time of need. In her spare time, Janet loves to play on our area's women's and co-ed soccer teams.

Deb is our newest addition to our Hooper & Weaver Family. If you call, it will most likely be her cheerful voice that you will hear, since she works as our receptionist at the front desk, as well as our accounting clerk. She is married to the best husband in the world ( unbiased opinion ) and is the mother of two grown children. She is a reformed city girl that now loves country life (Thanks to the Walton's). She enjoys tent camping, no RV's for this girl, as well as hiking, collecting cookbooks, experimenting in the kitchen, attending church regularly, and being grateful for every single day. Don't worry about calling her too early cause she is an incurable morning person who finds the glass to always be half full.

Michael is our newest funeral counselor here with us. He was born and raised right here in Nevada County, who has lived in both Grass Valley and Nevada City. After work he still manages to squeeze in time for martial arts, spending time with his family, and walking his beloved dog.
