Andy has been General Manager and Vice President of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary since 1992. Andy served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Grass Valley for ten years before coming to work for Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. He is a graduate of Central State University, Edmond, Okalahoma and has his master degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas. When Andy is not overseeing the daily operations of the mortuary, you can find him involved with high school sports. Andy has been the official statistician for the Nevada Union High School Football team since 1980. He also served for eight years as the President of the board of directors for Hospice of the Foothills. Andy is married and has two grown children and four adorable grandchildren.

Debbie is a devoted mother of two active children, Matt and Sarah. She is a fifth generation from the Prisk family to live in Nevada County. Debbie is no stranger in giving care to grieving families. Debbie's father, Leonard Prisk, was a co-owner of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary for over 31 years. As an experienced funeral director, Debbie is just the person to help you through those difficult times. Not only is Cindy and her husband raising their grandsons, Cindy finds time to serve as an Angel for the Friendship Club. Volunteering for her community is a part of who Cindy is as a person. Cindy has been helping family's process life insurance claims at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary for the past 14 years. It is only one of the many services that Cindy helps families with in their time of need. A familiar face and voice is always welcome in a time of sorrow. Cindy gives just the right personal touch.

Judy divides her time away from work between golf course and serving as a Board member for the Senior Citizens Foundation. As the pre-need agent at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary, she assists individuals with the pre-arrangement of their services. Pre-arranging provides a great deal of comfort, knowing your wishes will be met as well as the opportunity to take care of the costs. Pre-arranging also helps eliminate the burden family members would face. Judy is available to meet with those who find it difficult to get out, at their home and at her office. Hooper & Weaver Mortuary is proud of the many services they are able to provide to the community.

Janet is a mother of three grown sons and has lived in Grass Valley her entire life. If you call our mortuary, it will be her reassuring voice that you most likely will be hearing, as she works as our front desk receptionist. In her spare time, Janet loves to play on our area's women's and co-ed soccer teams.

Cemetery Crew
-
Our cemetery crew is a vital part of the success of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. They have the responsibility of maintaining all four of our cemeteries located in Grass Valley and Nevada City. Our cemetery crew also has the responsibility of opening and closing graves in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery and all 17 of our County of Nevada District Cemeteries. We understand that a cemetery is a sacred and holy place to the families that have loved ones buried in one of our cemeteries. Our cemetery crew is dedicated to keeping that sacred trust that has been invested in them in the keeping of those cemetery grounds.
